If you’re having a summer party, then you need to plan your decorations, menu and invitation list in advance. Today, we jump into our favorite festive decorating tips to make your party that much better.

3 Decorating Tips for Festive Summer Parties

Themes for the Kids
An easy way to make any party stand out is with a theme. Take an easy theme that the kids will love to turn your party into something magical. Plus, you can even create an activity around this theme. A few of our favorites include kings and queens, camping and more!

A Proper Dessert Table

Everyone loves desserts, and a summer party wouldn’t be a party without something sweet to share! You can either set up an ice cream sunday table, or leave an assortment of cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other treats for guests. Either way, it will complete the event! Don’t forget to decorate the table.

Outdoor Activities

You can take advantage of the weather by keeping the kids entertained outside. Set up an outdoor movie theatre, or let the kids swim in the pool. We adore this outdoor movie theatre, which is such an easy DIY! Simply put up a sheet, get a projection screen, and provide some popcorn. The kids will be entertained for hours!

Our Favorite Baby Shower Themes

Summer is the perfect time of year for a baby shower, and because we love to get creative, today we will show you our favorite baby shower themes this season. While the traditional blue and pink baby showers are fun and cute, we want to inspire expecting moms with new ideas to really bring your shower to life! We will show you how to tie in one common theme to your invitations, menu and decor.

Our Favorite Baby Shower Themes

Elephant Baby Shower Theme

We LOVE the elephant baby shower theme because it can be for a boy or a girl. This is a great option if you’re going to do a gender reveal at your baby shower. You can include the elephants on your invitations, or even on your cake – like the shower below! The baby blues, pinks and grey’s give it an extra soft touch. We love this sweet and very precious theme.

Dreamy Fairytale Baby Shower Theme

If you want to dress up your baby shower, you can easily do this too. For a more sophisticated and fairytale-like shower, use script fonts for your table name tags, and invitations. Decorating your table with flowers, china, ribbons, bows and picture frames will help bring the beauty of this theme.
